The problem of Allergy in Children is big and is getting bigger. Services for children with allergies are small and often unsupported. This is not a good combination.
Over recent years, reports from NICE, The Department of Health and the Royal Colleges have finally lifted this specialty out of the shadows.
We are a loose network of clinicians interested in the care of children with Allergic diseases in the East of England.
This Children's Allergy Network was born out of the desire of clinicians working with allergic children to meet, discuss cases and spread good practice through education and common protocols.
It took it first steps with an inaugural meeting in December 2009 and meets meet twice a year.
